Literature Text

Aed's house was quiet, after the guest had left. The man himself stood in his living room in front of the window, in deep thoughts.
Aed sighed. What James had asked… Aed was not willing to fulfill his pray.

You must not take that path, Aed.

He could still hear the words, his grandfather's last words before he fell asleep and never woke up.
He had promised. Aed wrinkled his forehead and sighed again. Suddenly something caught his attention.

"Hmm. I smell a dog", Aed said as he turned around. Huge, familiar figure of a man had appeared in the middle of the room.
"You could've just knocked on the door like people usually do", Aed said and glanced challengingly to the man. "Dog."
"Yes, I know. I had a reason to sneak in this way. Anwir", the man spoke with his deep voice. He didn't react to Aed's glare.
"Hmm. State your business" Aed gritted his teeth "as you know, I don't favor dogs."
"I have a name you could use", the man said and Aed could see a clue of a smile in his face.
"Fine. If it makes you go away faster. Anubis."
The man's smile widened. "I did not mean that name."
Aed's eyes gleamed dangerously.
"Oh well, I can't always win", Anubis sighed, but soon his face was serious again. "I need to ask you to do something for me."
Aed felt a huge desire to spit right to the other man's face. But he could not do that. He had already tested his power with this man - no, dog - and he had lost. The memory was still clear in his mind.
"You have no right to ask me to do anything, dog", Aed said with poisonous voice.
"You might change your mind, after you hear what I have to tell you, elf", Anubis said using the same tone of voice.
"I have left that all behind me, as you very well know."
"As I have left my dog form behind me, as you have noticed!", Anubis started to lose his patience. He did not understand, why is was always so difficult to deal with this particular elf. "Will you just cooperate a little, please?"
Aed opened his mouth, but then closed it again and nodded. Anubis sighed inside his mind. He didn't know, why the man hated him so much, but he wouldn't let that get in the way. Now he had something more important to do than just argue with the elf.
"I have come to ask you to ignore my master's task for you", Anubis said quietly and averted Aed's eyes.

----

One day I'll take a wrong step. And will I then be doomed, or the one who relapses under my spell?

Aed's own thoughts echoed inside his head, as he looked to the other man.
The silence was so thick, that it could've been cutted by a knife.
Aed moved at last and sat to the chair next to him. "Have a seat", he prompted. Even if he didn't like his guest, he should remember the manners - even though he was maybe a little late.
Anubis sat on the couch and waited the elf to answer.

"You must know, that I'd like to do as you said", Aed said after thinking awhile.
Anubis nodded.
"And James also knows, that you disagree with him? This is the real reason why he left you out from our conversation, am I right?" Aed asked.
Anubis nodded again, with a faint smile on his lips.

Aed had already forgotten his hate towards dogs, or at least, this particular dog. His thoughts were somewhere far away, and Anubis could not tell what was in this man's mind.
Suddenly Aed seemed to awake, and glanced the man on the couch. Aed opened his mouth and spoke so quietly, that Anubis barely heard him.
"And you are also aware, that if I ignore your master's pray, this world, among the others, might be entirely destroyed?"

Fingers. I felt cold fingers running down my cheek as I slept. Cold, long fingers, playing with my hair, touching my lips.

I wanted to open my eyes, but I couldn't. I wanted to shout his name, but my mouth would not open.

His fingers moved away from my lips, and I felt something replacing them. His lips, pressed against mine.
And I felt something wet, dropping to my skin. Tears.

"Please, don't leave me", he cried. I felt terrible, enormous pain in my chest, like a cold hand squeezing my heart.
"Don't leave me, Jimkin."

As I heard my name coming from his lips, I screamed inside my head. And when I felt him moving away from me, my eyes were suddenly filled with tears.

I was dead.
Dead man tells no tales, PART 2.

Part one can be found from here: [link]

So, the story continues. If you noticed, this ends kinda in the same way as the first, just to make clear that it's continuation to the first part, and ehehehe, just to make clear it's the same person talking.
(Not sure if it's clear enough though)

I kinda like this part, Aed's personality can be seen more in this. He's usually calm, but when he doesn't like something, he shows it.
He hates dogs. :I

Story and characters (c) me.

EDIT: Typos typos and some mistakes. Now it should be right~
